Integrative Psychiatry Services
Together, we use the best of Eastern and Western medicine to craft a personalized, holistic approach to your mental health – mind, body and spirit.
Have you ever been worried and felt it in your stomach? Or maybe your whole body tensed up? You felt lost or alone? It’s because the mind, body and spirit are all connected. I see this as the cornerstone of psychiatry practiced integratively. We work together to strengthen this connection so that you can understand your experience more holistically. This could include things like: meditation, movement or exercise, mindful eating, breathing exercises, lifestyle modifications, yoga, prayer and more.
Wow, there are a lot of diets and opinions in the world about what you should be eating! It can be a lot to unpack. My unique approach to nutrition centers around compassion and the mind-body connection. We explore areas like body image, eating patterns and beliefs along with careful assessment of your unique nutritional requirements. My stance is judgment-free, evidence-based and most importantly, collaborative.
Natural botanicals and supplements are medicine and I treat them accordingly. I assess potential medication interactions, side effects and help determine your optimum dosage. We discuss the evidence base for these nutraceuticals as well as the high quality brands and how to get them.
For many people, psychiatric medications are helpful. I include them in treatment plans as an option, but not the only option. We work to determine your lowest effective dose for each medication that maximizes benefit but minimizes side effects.
Additionally, when indicated I work with you to come off medications. I utilize a hyperbolic tapering technique which limits withdrawal symptoms and reduces medication burden even for the most sensitive patients.
Often a more clear picture of the root causes of your problems is there if we just know where to look. I provide a thoughtful assessment to determine what lab testing is pertinent and impactful for your treatment. Speciality lab testing can include vitamin or mineral deficiencies, thyroid function, pharmacogenomics, and more.
Other holistic approaches we utilize include: health technology integration, sleep optimization, movement coaching, evaluation and referrals as indicated for advanced interventional approaches (like TMS, ECT, ketamine, metabolomics testing).
I treat many mental health conditions. Below are some of my main areas of specialization:
- Woman’s mental health
- Medication de-prescribing
- Depression/Mood
- Anxiety
- Life transitions
- Burnout
- Trauma
Psychotherapy Services
Therapy, to me, is having a space to process and understand yourself. We work together to create an environment open to exploring how it is to be you.
My approach is compassionate, honest and curious. My technique is primarily centered around a relational psychodynamic approach but also includes components of mindfulness-based stress reduction therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, interpersonal therapy, motivational interviewing, ecotherapy, and mentalization based therapy.
The therapy names aren’t as important as the central aim of therapy – for us to create a unique relationship which will foster a deep understanding of yourself and an opportunity to grow.
- Women’s mental health

When doing psychotherapy together, we agree to once or twice weekly 50-minute sessions. You have a consistent time slot each week reserved exclusively for you.
